easter egg coloring

I think this is the first official Easter Egg coloring that the kid's have participated in. Last year we didn't include them because they were just too young.
As soon as we gave them their first egg to color and they had chosen the color they wanted to dye it they tried to crack them open. Oops! I guess we didn't explain to them well enough what the goal was. After we quickly re-explained they got right down to business! They really enjoyed making their eggs change colors!

Here is our finished product. It's so humid here that as they were drying they started getting condensation so they look a little tie-dyed. It looks funky and I love the vivid colors.
HAPPY EASTER!

Nicely done! You guys did a bunch! We just did five. We had five colors and five people in the family and I am the only one who will eat them, so it just made sense. Anyway, LOVE the colors! HAPPY EASTER!!!

Well the kids really got in to the grove. I don't know why but our eggs turned out speckled too. I rather like the effect. The dye was left over from last year, maybe that's why.
We'll miss you here this Easter. We love you. Happy Day to each. Grandma B.

Hi Tab,

Pretty eggs, yours and one other household's are the only ones we saw this Easter, colored eggs, that is! Guess we are getting too old around here to do such fun stuff!! Yes, we did miss you all yesterday at church; I turned around to look at Bruce Kingsley as he was the only little one there, besides Abigail, and I thought of you all--sure do miss all the sweet noises and shufflings coming from the back!! Hope you all had a great Resurrection celebration--yes, He Is Risen Indeed!!
Much Love,
JIll
