the same pose with my kids!

We say that Toby's praying when he finds his hands like this.
He was looking at Henry.

 

Henry is a willing paci insterter (is that even a word?).

So serious, wondering what that big black thing is
in front of mama's face.

We've been chill today.
Toys have been strewn throughout the house
as kids have played all day.
Artwork has been created and left to be put away.
Flip flops have been forgotten as bare feet run out the door.

 

A baby has napped peacefully.

Rooms have been made into happy messes.

Daddy has napped peacefully.

The three stooges peered into the house giggling.

A big sister held a baby brother joyfully.

And gymnastics were performed.

On a rainy afternoon,
fresh from a rare nap,
the smiles are silly,

The bedhead is ridiculous,

 

 

And the conversation is thoughful
as a book is perused.

from this week

Toby has been such a joy!  I am so thankful for the sweet loves his siblings give to him at any time of day.

His head and cheeks are filled with kisses from them.

   They love to hold him when I allow it,

They love to gather all the necessary items for diaper changes.

They love taking turns picking out his clothes.

They enjoy getting me the burp cloth when I'm getting ready to feed him.

They lovingly give him his paci when he gets irritable....the list of helpfulness goes on!

We couldn't be more happy with our new addition to the family

 and the wonderful teamwork that's being displayed.

My four sweets

it's been 4 days

Four days ago little Toby came into our world.

Loud and sweet, perfect in every way!

   We are slowly learning what makes this little dude tic.

  I love to look at him and kiss his soft cheeks.

 The kids are in awe of Toby.  They caress his head and give him kisses.

James is definitely smitten with him.  He will stare at him and call him "precious".

James has been an amazing help this week.  

He's taken on full "homemaking" duties for me and he's doing so with flying colors!  

The laundry has been done, meals prepared and fed to the children and me!

Floors swept and even mopped!

I will miss his support and help next week when he goes back to work.

It will be just the kids and me....I'm somewhat nervous about that.
