friday is free trolley ride day!

So we headed out to catch the trolley which runs about every 15 minutes. It's just a short walk to get to the trolley/bus stop and the kids love the trolley ride.
Here are the kids in our elevator getting ready to walk to the bus stop.

Henry, Naomi and Marcail waiting for the trolley on the "bernch" (Henry's word for bench) that's so graciously put there by the city of Ft. Lauderdale for weary travelers awaiting the trolley or bus.

In the trolley!

This picture was taken on our way home, notice the sleepy faces.

Our first stop was our friendly neighborhood Dollar Tree. I was able to purchase three little storage baskets and 4 educational posters for $5.00 and some change. I am so happy to find what I need at Dollar Tree. While we were purchasing our finds our little friend, Rahul and his grandma (Nani in Hindi), Shobha, which is pronounced Show-buh, came in line behind us to buy their bargains! It was such a fun surprise to see our friends. Rahul's mom, Ruwena, is coming home today from the hospital. She gave birth to Rahul's little sister, Sarena.
After our trip to Dollar Tree we walked over to our favorite little fast-food Mexican restaurant, Moe's Southwest Grill. It's a lot like Chipotle except that it does have a children's menu. The kid's meals come with chips and a drink and cookie for dessert. I let the kid's get blue Powerade to drink which is such a special treat for them. They call it blue juice.

Our Moe's

Happy eaters! They got quesadillas which come with sour cream and pico de gallo. They really liked the sour cream and Henry liked the pico as well. He said, "It not too bicy (spicy) for me!"

A yummy chocolate chip cookie for dessert!
By the time we got home at about 1:00, the three musketeers were asking to take a nap! It was such a fun outing for us, our little field trip.

Oh that's a fun trip. I too love the dollar store visits I take every so often.

BTW, thanks for the visit to my photo hunt last week.
