strolling along A1A

Last week, instead of playing on the playground, I took the kids on a walk on A1A. On the sidewalk there is a sidewall that borders the beach. It is wide enough that the kids can walk on top of it. They just thought this was so fun! At some points along the sidewall there are openings that have these spiral-y things that the kids like to climb to the top of and sing on. Marcail especially! The openings allow for easy entrance to the actual beach to go to the shore.

Standing on the sidewall.

Here's some trivia for you.
Did you know that between the months of March-October the street lights are dimmed for the sea turtles that come onto the beach to lay their eggs?
Here is a picture of the black see-through coverings that the city puts on the lights along the beach to lessen the brightness of the lamp posts.

I thought these were amusing signs by the little boardwalk on the beach.

This area is where they offer para-sailing rental and some other fun ocean-boat rentals.

The boardwalk.

Sure wish I could be entertained by Marcail singing on the spiraly thingy!

That is very cool! I did not know that. That looks like a fun thing to walk along. Oooh, ouch! I can only imagine how bad it would hurt to get some foot splinter like that!

I bet they love it! Leave a hat next to her on the next walk maybe she will get some mulah! That is the first time I have seen a splinter hazard sign! Wow! So will you see turtle eggs on the beach or see the baby turtles going to the water like on the discovery channel?
