chicken tikka masala

Last night I tried another Indian dish, tikka masala. It is quite a bit different in taste than curry. I used this recipe but omitted the jalapenos and cayenne. James put his own spice in when he ate it. I have to say, I was not a fan of this dish. I don't even really know what it was about it that I didn't like. Maybe the cumin or the spices that went with the cumin! It was way too salty as well. Next time I make it I'm only using a fourth of the salt it calls for. Even James, who loves salt, told me that I should just use half the salt next time. You can always add salt but you can't take it out! James really liked this dish! I am not going to totally dislike it yet. I shall give it another taste test before I decide finally if I don't like Chicken Tikka Masala.

Hmmm, it looks good, but I understand that salt thing. Too much of a good thing is not a good thing!

Hmmmm. . . .I'm not sure I like the looks - but I'm game for any new adventure. If I were there I'd dig in - though I am easily turned off by too much salt.
