Sometimes our mornings are slow or behind schedule. When that happens, breakfast is usually late. Like, 9:00 a.m. late. My kids are usually so hungry by the time I get them some cereal. Yesterday was just such a day. The kids had slept in a little and instead of serving them breakfast right away, I got myself showered and dressed first. While I shower I always turn the T.V. on so that I know the kids won't get into trouble. As I was finishing up my primping I heard an IHOP commercial come on. In unison, my hunry children said, in awe almost, "Pancaaakes!" Then, as I was smiling about how cute that was, I heard Henry say to his sisters, "I'm getting 'berry' hungry." I laughed! Yes, I would imagine the images that IHOP portrays on their commercials would make hungry kids drool! Especially kids that enjoy a good pancake!
FYI: I fed the kids their bowls of cereal within 5 minutes of hearing their pleas for IHOP pancakes!
