rio vista pumpkin patch

Pumpkin patch's here certainly do not have the same feel as they do back home.
This evening when the kids and I visited our
neighborhood pumpkin patch we were sweaty and hot.
The humidity is so high right now and the sun
is warm!
Back home you would need a jacket and jeans.
You'd maybe enjoy a cup of hot cider after choosing
your pumpkin.
Here, we are offered ice cold
sodas.
No hot drinks at the pumpkin patch here.
A Christian school nearby has this nice pumpkin patch, though, despite the heat.
They have it canopied with a mesh tarp to allow for shade and breeze.
I am really impressed with how well they had it all set up.
It was enjoyable and the staff was friendly.

Each of the kids were allowed to pick out a baby pumpkin.
We got a bigger pumpkin to carve but these were the only ones that made it into the photos.

LOL I'm from southern California and pumpkin patches are the same here. Hot! Not so humid, but hot we've got covered. It was 92F when we went. UGH.

Happy autumn, though, and happy Halloween! It looks like your pumpkin hunting was successful =)

I am glad you still consider Kansas HOME! ;-)

That looks like a great pumpkin "patch"!

The kids look pleased at punch with their baby punkins.

Woah, that is pretty warm! And good point about the different drinks. A whole new experience!

Look at all that orange!
Yes, it is different. Seems strange.
BTW, Dad says it's no pumpkin patch. It's a pumkin "lot"!
Anyway it was fun!?
Love to all you punkin loves!
