pre-k update

It's been 3 official days of Pre-K attendance for the twins and so far the transition and "getting used" to school has gone well.
I wasn't at all emotional for their first day. I was more than ready for them to start school. I am glad that I finally feel peace about not homeschooling......for now. I battled it for so long with guilt and questioning and now I am so relieved to have made a decision, finally!
Florida offers a free preschool program for all 4 year olds called VPK. That is probably the only reason that they are in preschool. I don't necessarily believe that preschool is necessary but if it's free then why shouldn't I take advantage of it?! It's really a neat deal, too, because the parent's can choose whatever preschool they want to send their child too. It's easy to find a preschool here that offers VPK since almost all of them do here and they also put a sign out in front of their building to let people know that they offer it.
Naomi and I have enjoyed our first three mornings without "brudder" and sister. We do a bit of school work and play Nick Jr. game online. She is a bit more quiet and somewhat shy but maybe it's her adjusting time too.
Henry and Marcail attend preschool Monday-Friday from 9-12. It makes for a long week but I think it will be that much easier for us to start Kindergarten next year. It happens to be all day here like it is for Sean.

I know whatcha mean about finally making a decision which brings some relief... However with kids, there are always decisions and second guesses and rearrangements!
God will direct your paths!

I totally get what you mean about the peace and relief of a decision made!
There's nothing more discouraging than those "ping-pong" times when you find yourself going back and forth on the route to take. I'm in one of those and it stinks. I'm so happy for you ( and for the kids)!!!
