last days in kansas

These pictures are from the last couple days in Kansas.

My Grandad Beckman wanted a pic with my kiddos.
Sisters, sisters!
There were never such devoted sisters.

My mom and me.
This was right before we had to leave for the airport.

Mom, Dad and me.

Mom and Dad
and their grandcuties.

Our 6 weeks vacation to Kansas was fantastic.
It was brutally hot but we enjoyed all the time we had with our family.

We are home now and getting back into the groove of homelife.
Naomi got us back to reality fast by waking up with a stomach virus this morning.
I'm praying the Lord sustains everyone else's health!

randomness

Being in Kansas has been so good for my heart.
I miss my family being so far away from them.
South Florida is too far away in my opinion.

We have been enjoying spending time with Liv and the kids.
The cousins are playing together as cousins should.
Liv and I are chatting and laughing as sisters should.
And Grandkids and Grammy and Grandpa have been bonding as they should.

I have been relishing having time with mom and talking face to face
instead of on the phone.

When Liv and the kids come over, we like to be outside
playing in the pool.
Toby has even been out in the pool a few times.

Liv and Lily drying off.
Lily is never far from Liv's side.

These two have really been good buddies.

The mornings in Kansas are gorgeous.  They are crisp and clear.
It's so refreshing compared to Florida's muggy, heaviness.

The kids were making a "whirlpool".

These beauts are from mom's garden.
They're such a happy flower in this
hot summer draught.

a trip within a trip

About two weeks ago, the kids and I were able to
visit Princess and her family in Overland Park for a few days.
It was an unplanned and wonderful surprise visit.
The kids all got along so well and Princess and I enjoyed
some much-needed friend time together.
We got to watch
Faesal (Princess' son) play baseball.
This is Salma at Faesal's ballgame.

Faesal, in the middle, getting ready for his game.

Rayon is watching,
shaded by his cap.

Abe loved Toby.  He thought it was pretty
awesome to get to hold him.

Henry, Ray, Nay Nay and Marc

My lovely friend since 3rd grade!

Love Abe's smile!

All the kids!
Rayon, Henry, Abe, Toby, Salma, Naomi, Marcail and Faesal

We put a clown wig on the baby.
Rayon is cracking up!

Foosball time!

We sent the kids to pick apples from a neighbor's tree.
We made 4 apple crisps with them!

At the neighborhood pool,
cooling off!

Breakfast time

Getting ready to grill some burgers!

Rayon playing "get away from Tab"!  Ha!  I got him.

great-grandad and his great-grandkids

My grandad Dale requested pictures taken with him and all his great-grandkids.
It was fun getting these taken, a wonderful memory.
