i'm so random

Marcail is practicing her handwriting.
I noticed in the beginning of this school year that each of the kid's handwriting
was very sloppy.
So, we've been really focusing on improving their penmanship this semester.
One lazy Saturday morning, without kids, pouring rain out.
James and Toby in the phone entrancement.

Naomi was "helping" me make supper one evening by
licking the bowl clean.

Toby is getting so good at sitting up!
We is so happy just sitting and watching
his siblings play around him.

father's day 2012

Just like on Mother's Day, we had to get a picture of all the kids
with daddy.
James is such a good, patient daddy.
We are happy to have him.
We love him!

The weather is gorgeous today.
It beckons us outside.

first driving lesson

Last Saturday, James and I went shopping with Toby.
The older three were at their Grandma's.
We had to take a break in the car at Target parking lot
for a feeding break.
Daddy took a turn burping Toby and got rewarded
with plenty of happy smiles.

weekend together

Over the weekend, James and I had some alone time with Toby.
My mother-in-law took the big kids with her for the weekend so
that we could get some rest.
It was nice to have one-on-one time with the baby.
I'm a little obsessed since I haven't had a baby to stare at and
love up on in 5 years.

it's been 4 days

Four days ago little Toby came into our world.
Loud and sweet, perfect in every way!
We are slowly learning what makes this little dude tic.
I love to look at him and kiss his soft cheeks.

The kids are in awe of Toby.  They caress his head and give him kisses.

James is definitely smitten with him.  He will stare at him and call him "precious".
James has been an amazing help this week.
He's taken on full "homemaking" duties for me and he's doing so with flying colors!
The laundry has been done, meals prepared and fed to the children and me!
Floors swept and even mopped!
I will miss his support and help next week when he goes back to work.
It will be just the kids and me....I'm somewhat nervous about that.

friday

Perfect weather, plus a daddy that is off work for the week
makes for a no-brainer day at the beach.

We loaded into the car and headed to our "old" beach.
We walked the shore to the big rocks
and later enjoyed a late lunch at our newly opened Sonic.
